Hairstylist

The Hairstylist Certificate program prepares students for employment in the hair industry by providing them with authentic learning experiences to develop the knowledge, skills, and professionalism to be successful in the industry. Students are required to complete salon work experiences in terms 2 and 3, which will provide insight into the general salon functions, duties, roles, and responsibilities of a stylist.

Upon successful completion of both the Hairstylist Certificate and the Esthetics Certificate, students are eligible to receive a Cosmetology Diploma at VCC.–Vancouver Community College
