The Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) showed its commitment to hitting its 2021 migration level target by inviting 27,332 candidates to apply for permanent residency last February 13. This number is a historic record high, inviting candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) that only required candidates to have a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 75, the lowest CRS requirement ever.
The IRCC is actively seeking global talent including those currently outside of Canada in order to support the country’s post-pandemic recovery.
This huge development has taken everyone by surprise.
