Furniture and Cabinetmaking Techniques
Humber’s Furniture and Cabinetmaking Techniques program provides you with the knowledge and skills to construct and build traditional furniture, as well as install basic cabinets using recognized trade practices.
The program incorporates the use of various types of joinery and construction techniques using hand tools, portable power tools, stationary machines, as well as computer-based technologies, through a project-based approach.
Once students complete this certificate, they can apply to continue their studies into Semester 3 of the Industrial Woodworking Diploma.
Graduates of the program will be able to produce shop drawings, calculate a list of materials, cut out and assemble basic cabinetry or furniture and also apply a finish. — Humber College
