Indigenous Bachelor of Education
Indigenous knowledge and perspectives are at the core of this unique B.Ed. program. The first of its kind in North America, Trent’s Indigenous B.Ed. provides a platform for self-identified First Nations, M’tis, Inuit, and Indigenous students to become exceptional future educators.
By developing a deeper understanding of and connection to Indigenous cultures, languages, and knowledge, you’ll learn to be a creative and conscious K-12 educator.
Students of this fully accredited, concurrent, five-year program develop the tools they need to teach in any urban, rural, First Nation, Metis, Inuit (FNMI), or public school environment. Successful graduates will receive their Ontario College of Teachers Certification, enabling you to teach anywhere in Ontario.
