Jewellery Methods

The Jewellery Methods program provides you with the skills necessary to succeed in this demanding profession of a goldsmith/bench jeweller. The essential skills of measuring, sawing, filing, soldering, finishing and computer-modelling are stressed early in the program.

These skills are built upon through the introduction and practice of many traditional and contemporary techniques. Once essential skills are achieved, you study more advanced goldsmithing techniques, jewellery repair, gemsetting and model-making, as well as jewellery elective subjects. — George Brown College
